This is one of my own creations. I made it by the lost-wax casting method and the small aquamarine cabochon was added to the finished piece. The design is meant to be an abstract rendering of the stones at the bottom of a creekbed. I like the idea of mixing organic shapes and themes with cleaner, geometric angles. I guess I imagine a piece of a natural scene removed and fashioned into a new item with angles, sides, and frames.
It was cast with largely pure silver but some old sterling silver jewelry was melted in as well — making the ring less the 99% pure but more pure than sterling. It is my hope to offer this piece for sale in the future. At the moment, I am still in the process of building a collection.
I love that ring! And you have such pretty hands!!
Noelle, I’ve been meaning to make a comment on this and kept forgetting, but this ring rules! It’s very pretty. I can’t wait to see what else you come up with!
Hi! I love this ring – so beautiful! Did you start making it for sale? I’d love to have one 🙂
Wow! Thank you so much! I’m afraid that I only made one of these. However, if you are interested, I could talk to my teacher about making a mold of it and casting some others. I am not sure how my wiggle-room I have in terms of size …
That would be great! My ring size is US 6. Of course, there is the question of the price of the ring, and would you consider sending it to Croatia, Europe!
Let me know! I would really love it – I must say this is the prettiest ring I’ve seen in a long time, and I really love silver jewelry 🙂
Well, I don’t really have a business so I don’t have any “policies” about where I’ll ship. 🙂 I think anything is negotiable in this situation.
You’re right, though, we should price it out first as silver has gotten so, so expensive. Let me do this … I’ll talk to my teacher about what is possible in terms of making a mold and changing the size … and what we are looking at in terms of price. I’ll be honest with you … it isn’t going to be a quick process as I have limited access to the equipment. I’ll do all my research and let you know. Is there somewhere I can email you?
Thank you so much for being interested in the ring. It is so flattering and I would love to make it happen for you to have one. We’ll see what we can do!
Thanks again!! Best, ~ Noelle
This is so exciting and fun! Of course, this is no rush job – I’d be happy to get it whenever you will be able to make it! The best part is that it would be a unique ring that only we have 🙂
Let me know how the research is going on! You can always contact me on my e-mail: email@example.com
Have a great day!
Agreed! I’ll get on it … and we’ll see what we can do. Thanks again for your interest!
